In addition to fire and medical responses you will be expected to do the following: conduct runway / safety checks of the airfield at random intervals, conduct security checks on the airfield, conduct extinguisher checks, check and maintain all emergency vehicles, test and inspect fire hose, test and inspect hydrants, inspect and maintain all rescue tools, maintain the cleanliness of the fire station and its grounds, conduct standbys for tenants and charters, conduct fuel farm and fuel hauler inspections, conduct control tower inspections, conduct wildlife dispersal, monitor confined space entries, prepare and maintain a sate of readiness for hurricane evacuation operations, preplan structures on airport property for emergency readiness, inspect and maintain SCBAs, refract and performance test ARFF equipment, maintain a constant state of preparedness for FAA and Government inspections, and conduct FOD control for airfield.The qualified candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, clean driving record, valid Driver’s License, clean criminal history, NFPA 1403 compliant, CPR, and at a minimum First Responder certification.
